Insight Group (Men and Women)
With its emphasis on developing Christian character, it is a powerful group for those who want to be sure to prevent life-controlling problems from developing in their lives, as well as for those who need to overcome a current problem.
We highly recommend Insight as the entry group for small groups. It enhances people's understanding of themselves and others. It helps people bond together in meaningful relationships. It helps prepare people for more meaningful relationships in subsequent small groups like home groups and Sunday school classes. It surfaces people for help who may never seek help. It helps break down the segregation of people in churches, turning "those people" and "our kind of people" into just "us". It helps prepare people to minister to others. It serves as a powerful evangelistic tool by ministering to people's felt needs and then pointing them to Christ.

Prayer Does It Make A Difference? (Men and Women)
In this six-session video curriculum, award-winning author Philip Yancey probes the very heartbeat―the most fundamental, challenging, perplexing, and deeply rewarding aspect―of our relationship with God: prayer. What is prayer? How does it work? And more importantly, does it work? In theory, prayer is the essential human act, a priceless point of contact between us and the God of the universe. In practice, prayer is often frustrating, confusing, and fraught with mystery. Prayer: Does It Make Any Difference? is an exploration of the mysterious intersection where God and humans meet and relate. Yancey explores such questions as: •Is God listening? •Why should God care about me? •If God knows everything, what’s the point of prayer? •Why do answers to prayer seem so inconsistent and capricious? •Why does God seem sometimes close and sometimes far away? •How can I make prayer more satisfying? The Prayer DVD and Prayer participant’s guide are available separately.
